Film Project: Pre-production Reflection

Idea Brainstorming and Pitch

Our group did not do a lot of thinking before creating the storyboard and the pitch. Our ideas flowed and worked well together. We did not brainstorm and then write our pitch we just went right into writing our pitch. As we were writing our pitch we kept coming up with better ideas that worked well with our other ideas.

Script Process

Our group did not have a set script. The script that we are using to make our film is on the storyboard. We think that the film would be better with little dialogue. There are only a couple lines of dialogue. The teacher says a couple line in the class and the students says a couple lines on their way to school.

Storyboard

Our storyboard is descriptive and shows what’s going to happen in our movie very clearly.

Our group did not have any disagreements. We worked well together and our ideas linked together nicely. When we were writing the storyboard and the script we all did the same amount of work. I made most of my contribution to the film it self. The ideas that I had were not big but I think they will help the film.

In my opinion the script was the hardest to write. Most people would say that it was easy but in our case we did not have a lot of dialogue so it was hard to make a full script. We overcame this problem by writing the dialogue on the storyboard and having loose dialogue.

When we overcame the dialogue problem, the rest of project went well. I don’t think that if we didn’t come up with the idea to put the dialogue into the storyboard, it wouldn’t have made a huge impact on the quality of out film.
